AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (TITLE 32)

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Maximum Military Grade - MSG (E-8) Enlisted - CMF 15, 91, 92 or 94 Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion). GENERAL
Experience:
Must possess experience or training that has provided you with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications with the use of appropriate hand tools and test equipment. WG-08 SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must possess 12 months of specialized experience that demonstrates your skill and knowledge needed to remove and install aircraft parts, components and accessories; experience which demonstrate your ability to follow detailed instructions in making routine, reoccurring repairs and modifications to aircraft parts, subassemblies and components to obtain the diagnosis of mechanical malfunctions; experience inspecting a wide variety of mechanical systems with limited supervision; and experience interpreting technical publications. WG-10 SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must possess 18 months of specialized experience in the full range of aircraft maintenance duties including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair and ground testing of assemblies, systems and surfaces for one or more types of military aircraft, fixed and rotary wing. The specialize experience must also demonstrate your ability to repair, rebuild, or overhaul aircraft systems and major components using the tools of the trade; skill to align, adjust and rig systems and controls after the replacement of parts, components and major repairs; operate a variety of measurement, test and diagnostic equipment utilized in troubleshooting and repair of aircraft; inspect the full range of mechanical systems with the ability to analyze existing or foreseeing problems and recommend corrective action; and use a wide variety of technical publications to include complex schematics and specifications. This position will be filled at the WG-08 trainee grade or the target grade of WG-10. An applicant who is selected at the trainee grade will have potential for promotion to the target grade of WG-10 without further competition. Promotion to full operating/journeyman level will be made after qualifications and eligibility requirements have been met and the incumbent is performing at the higher level in a satisfactory manner.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
